Now, in 2025, history will be made once again as the Perhimpunan Agung Pengakap Johor Kali Ke-27 Peringkat Antarabangsa 2025 (PAPJ27) or the 27th International Johor Scouts Rally 2025 calls upon Scouts from across the world to return to Mersing, a place deeply rooted in Johor’s Scouting legacy.

This is more than just an event; it is a homecoming, a celebration of heritage, and a monumental return to a land that once hosted one of Johor’s most iconic Scouting gatherings.

A Historic Return to Mersing After Half a Century

PAPJ27 is set to be an unforgettable milestone, marking the 50-year anniversary since the last Johor Scouts Rally was held in Mersing back in 1975.

For one incredible week, over 4500 Scouts from Malaysia and across the globe will return to Tanjung Leman, Mersing, setting foot on the same land where generations before them once stood, campfires once burned, and friendships were formed under the vast night sky.

Fifty years ago, Mersing witnessed a historic gathering of Scouts, a time when the spirit of unity, adventure, and camaraderie echoed across the coastal landscape.

Now, in 2025, the tradition continues, as a new generation of Scouts follows in the footsteps of their predecessors, honouring the past while forging new memories for the future.

This return to Mersing is a chance to rekindle old traditions, rediscover lost stories, and relive the magic of Scouting in a place that holds immense historical significance.
