Johor Bahru, 5 February 2025 - The Perhimpunan Agung Pengakap Johor ke-27 (PAPJ27) has officially earned a place in the Johor Tourism Calendar of Event 2025, marking a remarkable achievement for the scouting community and highlighting its significance on both national and international level.
The Johor Tourism Calendar is a prestigious selection of key events that showcase Johor's vibrant culture, adventure tourism, and community spirit, making PAPJ27 an important addition to this esteemed lineup.
Set to take place in the breathtaking coastal destination of Tanjung Leman, Mersing, from 13 to 17 September 2025, PAPJ27 will welcome over 4,500 scouts from across Malaysia and around the world for a once-in-a-lifetime gathering filled with adventure and camaraderie.
This year's rally carries even greater meaning as it celebrates 50-year of the event reunion hosted in Mersing, a legacy that began in 1975, bringing together generations of scouts who have shared the same passion for leadership, survival skills, and global friendship.
Participants can expect an electrifying lineup of activities, from heart-pounding outdoor challenges and hands-on sustainability projects to immersive cultural exchanges that will strengthen bonds between scouts from different backgrounds and nationalities.
The inclusion of PAPJ27 in the Johor Tourism Calendar 2025 reinforces its role not just as a scouting event, but as a powerful platform for youth empowerment, cross-cultural connections, and eco-adventure tourism, putting Johor on the map as a top destination for international scouting experiences.

Mersing, 19 January 2025 – The Organising Committee for the Perhimpunan Agung Pengakap Johor Kali ke-27 or the 27th Johor Scouts Rally (PAPJ27) convened a pivotal meeting at the Seri Leman Ballroom, Felda Residence, Tanjung Leman to discuss preparations for the much-anticipated international Scouting event.
Chaired by the Johor Chief Scout Commissioner, Bardin bin Uteh, the meeting served as a cornerstone in setting the foundation for the event scheduled later this year.
The agenda of the meeting included the presentation of proposal and detailed committee responsibilities, focusing on key aspects of event management, from logistical planning to activity design.
The committee also conducted a site visit to the rally’s proposed venue to ensure it aligns with the event goals.
"The theme of ‘Unity and Sustainability with Scouting’ will be at the heart of PAPJ27,” said Bardin in his opening address.
During the session, significant emphasis was placed on crafting an array of activities that promise to inspire and challenge participants aged 11 to 26.
From cultural exchanges to skill-building workshops, the committee aims to make PAPJ27 a platform for youth empowerment and global scouting solidarity.
Adding to the excitement, the committee hinted at several surprises planned for the rally.
While specific details remain under wraps, Bardin assured that participants can expect an event filled with extraordinary moments.
The meeting also highlighted the role of Mersing as the host district, marking a historic return after 50 years since the last PAPJ in the region in 1975.
The scenic coastal town is poised to become a global Scouting hub, attracting participants and stakeholders from local and international communities.
